To encourage children to begin to process the mystery of faith: Christ has died. Christ has risen. Christ will come again, use the San Damiano Cross on your prayer table or model altar.
Each cross and stand comes UNPAINTED but well sanded. Instructions are provided for painting and sealing.
This is a simplified version of the rood cross before which St. Francis was praying when he heard God's voice calling his name. We have removed the other people from this cross to focus on the life of Christ. We have retained the victorious Christ and the hand of God.

Painting or waxing is recommended.
Instructions are provided for sealing with beeswax.
There may be a slight smell of burnt wood from the laser process.
